Graduation Make Up look

Graduation Season is finally here, so I would like to help make this experience more memorable for our graduates. Here are some of my Make Up works this March..I hope you like them!

Tip: 

1. Keep it CLEAN and SIMPLE as much as possible

2. Use Warm/Neutral Shades for you eyeshadow, to get a more natural looking make up, adding a little color will be nice too, try colors that will brighten your eyes. (just don't over do it!)

3. Your foundation should be able to withstand sweat and oil  since graduation season starts from March-April (which is summer in the Ph!). So, better be ready and get a long wearing and waterproof foundation. 

4. ENJOY. It's tough to get through College in one piece. So better enjoy this moment and make it count!

MAC Archie Girls Collection- Betty Bright Lipstick

REVIEW:

I'm really excited to do this review coz I've been waiting for the the Archie Collection to come out in stores and as expected it came a lil' late here in the Philippines and I'm pretty sure they'd be sold out everywhere once they are out. So, I had to order them online to make sure I get every lipstick and blush from the collection.

Anyway, I will be doing a separate review for every lipstick I got from the collection but for now I wanna do a hand/lip swatch for the lipstick that stood out the most for me in the whole lipstick collection. 

MAC BETTY BRIGHT LIPSTICK- retails $16.50 (US price), its one of the 6 limited edition lipstick that was recently launched by MAC, it is described as "light vibrant peach", but honestly I don't find it peach at all. It looks more pink on me than peach/coral. I love love the color, I think it looks great on me.

Finish: (SATIN) Comfortable to wear, I don't find it drying on the lips. 

Packaging: I love the packaging, the cute little hearts printed on the tube is beyond adorable. 

The only issue I have with is that the color can look uneven if too many layers are applied.

YSL PUR COUTURE LIPSTICK REVIEW AND SWATCH

I love love love RED LIPSTICK and my YSL pur couture in La Rouge (#1) is just perfect! The Color is Blood Red as described by YSL. The texture feels marvelous, the finish is medium to full coverage in a radiant satin finish. The packaging is the usual YSL shiny gold, it looks nice but feels light and it doesn't have the expensive feel for me, they also tend to get dirty easily--fingerprint magnets!--it does bother me a lot (OC moments) in comparison to the YSL Volupte packaging this one doesn't have much appeal on me.

The formula is very smooth and moisturizing, it also has a powerful cocktail of hydro-spheres and natural extract comforts that hydrates the lips throughout the day. 

I don't really have an issue with the scent since I can't smell it while wearing it but I've seen some pretty strong comments/reaction about how it smell. Anyway, it doesn't bother me at all. The staying power is pretty good, It last longer compared to my YSL Volupte..which is a good thing!

MAC Archie Collection Face Powder

BETTY OR VERONICA?

The MAC Archie Collection for spring 2013 launched last March 5, 2013 here in the Philippines including a line-up inspired by Betty and Veronica.

Let's start with the PEARL MATTE POWDERS

Veronica Blush- is a highlighter/face powder base with pink powder blush hearts (which is so cute!). When blend together it turns into a luminescent pink blush that can be used as a highlighter or a blush. It goes onto the skin smoothly and blend beautifully, it gives you a healthy luminous glow. 

Betty Flatter Me Face powder- this is described as "golden Peach base with coral hearts". When mixed together the resulting shade is medium pink-coral with golden sheen. Compared to the veronica blush, I think I like this one better since I'm having a coral/peach obsession because it's almost summer here.

#30 FAUBOURG PEACH

I'm obsessed with this lipstick, it smells amazing! The formula is my favorite thing about it, It's amazingly pigmented and creamy..it glides smoothly on my lips, I always wear gloss on top of my lipstick because I really have dry lips so that makes my YSL volupte perfect for me. The color is amazing, I was impressed with just how it compliments my skin tone.

The packaging of course is absolutely beautiful and luxe with a YSL signature gold metal casing with a nice detail around the center of the tube, showing the lipstick shade, it definitely beats any other lipstick I own, they make my NARS and MAC lipstick look cheap.HAHA!

The only downside of it is that you wouldn't be wearing it for too long because of the creaminess it tend to slip around a bit so I really wish it last longer on my lips...But, I love this lipstick..it's amazing and I totally would repurchase! 


This brand is not available in the Philippines so a friend (cecille) of mine was kind enough to get it for me in Taiwan, I got it for about 820-860 TWD (Duty Free Price),1280 TWD-regular store price.  It retails 34-35$ in the US which isn't cheap, so If you have a YSL store near you I recommend you do research and swatch them in-stores before deciding on anything. Personally, I don't really care that it's 35$ a tube, I consider them worth it. I would definitely get more of it.
